John O’Hara

An American novelist and short-story writer, John O’Hara produced fiction that stands as a social history of upwardly mobile Americans from the 1920’ to the 1940’s. Hemingway and Fitzgerald ranked him highly among the major under-appreciated American writers of the 20th century.  Our forthcoming edition will feature O’Hara’s complete novels for the first time.

Andrea del Sarto

An Italian painter from Florence, Andrea del Sarto flourished during the High Renaissance and early Mannerism. He was known as an outstanding fresco decorator, painter of altarpieces, portraitist, draughtsman, and colourist. Although highly regarded during his lifetime, his renown was eclipsed after his death by that of his contemporaries Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael. Our upcoming monograph will provide the complete works and essential reading for all lovers of Renaissance art.
